It was lonely here without anyone he knew and nothing he could enjoy doing without getting the tar beat out of him by the third class saiyan that had surpassed him. "Damn you Kakarot.." He huffed and smeared his face in his palm in frustration. What was there to do around this planet anyways? Surely the natives did something that he might find enjoyable. Hopefully he could find something to enjoy before he went absolutely insane with the boredom. He felt useless unless he was fighting or destroying.
The neons of the red light district lit the rain slicked streets with a devilish glow that promised much sinful delight in many forms. This place looked promising as the gray clouds over the black night sky swirled like a sickly fog belched from the belly of a demon intent on hiding this place away from the purity of the night sky. It would be raining again soon and the saiyan prince wasn't much fond of getting caught in the next downpour.
It wasn't long until he found a place he thought would be a suitable place to duck in out of the rain. A long line to get in but that wasn't even close to giving him a second thought about going in. If he wanted in he'd damn well get in and there was nothing they could do to stop him. He pushed his way to the front of the line much to everyone's dismay. It wasn't much of a struggle to get through the line of weak humans but he'd hit another pitiful obstacle, the bouncer. "Back of the line buddy."
"Is this how you greet a prince?" Vegeta scowled darkly at the hand that was set on his shoulder to deter him.
The burly man laughed deeply and spoke to his partner on this shift. "Ya hear that Rick? He's a prince!" The equally musclebound Rick laughed, a rippling of muscles visible under his impeccably cleaned suit.
"Yeah, and my friend the fairy princess of Aldalia grants me wishes daily! Get lost." Vegeta growled angrily and threw the massive man who's hand was tainting his princely shoulder with a peasant's touch. The angry party goers behind him were shocked into silence for a few moments before they soon whipped into murmurs and whispers that grew all too loud to be discreet.
Vegeta smirked wickedly and without even looking blasted a crater in the street only a few inches in front of the large man's face. It would have been so much more satisfying if he had blasted the man himself but humiliating him would work just fine. "Isn't my name on the list? Prince Vegeta."
Rick was sweating heavily and slowly looked down to the list his hand and quickly looked up, one large hand unhooking the velvet dividing rope to allow Vegeta to pass. "Oh yeah, right here at the top.." It was a lie and Vegeta knew it but he was definitely enjoying these two weaklings pissing their pants for his entertainment. It might be a fun night after all, he thought.
Vegeta's ears were assaulted by the bone jarring bass of the loud music when he stepped through the door and he quickly found a place in a corner where the noise wasn't so terrible. Perhaps it hadn't been such a brilliant idea to come in this place to get out of the rain. He groaned in annoyance as he sank into a very plush and welcoming booth seat. How could these stupid creatures stand such racket? There seemed to be a lot of them crowded into a small area near the middle of the room in front of him but their movements were as confusing as the noise.
The scent of sweat and heavy colognes mingled with the smoke in the thick air giving a heavy feeling to the dimmed place. A place that reeked of sin and pleasures in cloying wafts of stale air that clung to one's skin like oil to a river animal.
The crush of bodies in the middle of the large room drew his eyes back to the center like a fatal attraction as he tried to see appeal of what they were doing. Many times he caught himself zoning out and staring into the throng of people moving and shaking
Take it home-Vegeta/Bulma
Join inAfter so long waiting for Bulma's private cab, which never arrived, the prince huffed in annoyance and shot a soft glare at the woman. "Just hang on." He was done waiting on everyone else who lived upon the ragged face of this planet. Without warning he scooped Bulma into his arms bridal style and simply took off over the decayed district, hidden by paints and neons the way an elderly woman might hide wrinkles with make-up.
Slender arms wrapped around his neck with a scream. "Put me down Vegeta!" She was right in his ear shrieking and it was by far less than pleasant with the way her voice whined.
"Shut up!" The words were clipped by the wind rushing passed them but the point was agonizingly clear to let him handle it.
The young woman whimpered and buried her face in the prince's neck, raising a flush to his cheeks as the dreary landscape drifted below them. "Where do you live?" If she couldn't find it from so high up then he'd have to fly closer to the jagged teeth that were the sky scrapers until she could spot her home.
She seemed calmer but the tremors of her body reminded him she was still afraid of the dizzying height they were at. "Umm," Bright eyes surveyed the landscape in worry before she grudgingly took a hand from the death grip around his strong shoulders to point. "Capsule Corp should be over in that direction, the big round building.."
The prince nodded and glared at her almost as if he was waiting for something. "Ready?"
She gulped and nodded nervously, surprised when he flew slower than before so as not to startle her. Perhaps it was her imagination but she was beginning to think the icy prince might have a soft spot among the tundras of his loathing heart.
Ice ice melt your heart
Baby girl let down your guard
Rush rush for that touch
Just one taste can't get enough
The gray-scaled scene of city and smog rolled under them like a sluggish, clogged river full of childrens' building blocks. Crisp air of the higher drafts blew over them like chilled hands seeking to scrub them both of the thick odors and grime of the detestable place they had left.
The young woman, in a delicate silk dress that clung to her like secondary crimson skin, gave a soft sound of discomfort as she pressed a powdered cheek into his neck. It was too cold to keep her in the higher atmosphere for too long, he thought as she squeezed herself against him as much for warmth as security.
The scuff of his boots on the porch was barely a whisper in the night as he set her down. "Get inside and get warm." There was no room from argument from her. She would warm herself or he would do it for her and chances were she would not enjoy his methods of care.
Baby put your key in the door
Cause this party's getting way to loud
And the neighbors can't take anymore
And they're so for you
Let's give them an encore
Boys will be boys
Take it home take it home
Cause i can't take anymore
It's your touch it's your taste
It's your dress on the floor
Take it home take it home
Cause I've been waiting all night
For you
And this is what I'm gonna do
They slipped inside the building without much incident aside from the security system which seemed intent on alerting everyone in the complex that Vegeta was not meant to be here. "Arg, stupid machines!" The soft faced genius screeched in frustration, flipping open the panel to disconnect and rewire the system frantically until the sirens died away.
The lingering screams of the alarm faded quickly within the corridors like a ghost sent back within the grave, leaving the brightly lit halls silent once more. The sense of being watched made Vegeta shudder from a nervousness riled by the fuss.
Bulma motioned for him to follow her once the shattered quiet had been restored. His eyes were too busy wandering over the smaller details of the pristine walls to pay much attention to the sway of her gently curved hips or the way her dress fel
Bulma sighed softly, combing delicate fingers through her hair to push it back. "I don't want you going to bed dirty is all, just relax." As moody as she was beautiful and unpredictable in many ways. Again that softer side was surfacing if only to calm the nerves of her guest. "I'll go get you some clothes okay?"
Vegeta gave a scowling acknowledgment and turned his eyes away from that tender face stubbornly. Again that familiar sound of her rustling dress that he had earlier ignored signaled her exit though with this new opportunity he allowed himself the distraction of her body and the way the scant fabric played over her gorgeous form.
Could he allow himself to owe this cat of a woman? Should he even allow her to make even the deeds of tonight? "Whatever.." Dark eyes found the door to the bathroom she had mentioned to him and while she was gone he decided to give up the stubborn charade.
The fresh steam that quickly filled the small room eased his tension little by little, the pounding spray of water running over his bare back from the shower head washing the grit and slime from his mind and body. It felt good to be in a place he could be clean of the sick obsessions and carnality that was devouring and rotting this planet.
At least in blood and sweat of battle he could prove superiority and strength. In the heat of a grand fight he could let care and worry give way to all the hatred and rage he felt. Then and only then when the blood of another sprayed over his hands he could be free of all need for others.
As expected some fresh clothes had been set out for him, pajamas had even been laid on the bed for the night. He stopped a moment, thoughts chasing through his head like dogs snapping at the heels of a fox, as he looked at the room he'd been given to use until he could once more become independent.
The question he couldn't answer was whether or not he liked the small gestures of thoughtfulness from the lovely genius who had once despised and feared him. He had seen her in so many ways, the facets of her persona much more intriguing once a person looked passed one to see the many. He wasn't even sure why his mind would not leave her alone.
He'd discarded the towel and dressed in the pajamas he'd been left by the time a knock sounded at the door, bringing a grumpy response from the tired saiyan. "Yeah?"
The door slid open to reveal Bulma in an outfit better suited towards working in a laboratory. "Hey, I just wanted to let you know that if you need anything hit the blue button on the speaker set of the nightstand and you'll get my intercom okay?"
Part of him wanted to just shoo her away but he settled for a simple nod, turning and almost on his way towards the bed when again that soft voice came from behind him. "Vegeta?" Delicate as a paper flower, his name lingered in the air as though it would never fall.
"What?" He was too tired to be harsh or gruff with her. He wanted to sleep and hoped that the rest would chase away the thoughts that danced within his uneasy mind. What could she possibly want now?
"Thanks again for helping me tonight." The barest of smiles touched the corners of his lips. Stupid as he may have called her many times times before and no matter how he might see everyone else the woman was beautiful and could be tender when she so pleased. Living here with her would prove very interesting he already knew.
