The creator/site legal owners role.
That's me. I have legal responsibility and accountability for Animeforum.

My responsibilities in order.

1, Create and inspire AF. Its an on-going process that doesn't mean I have to do everything creative or be involved in the discussions, but I do have to approve changes to the site forums layout, set up look, rules, etc. And of course any decisions that involve costs.


2,- Ensure AFs Values and difference that people love remain constraint and intact. By me having Vito on any decision which affects the site, its rules or our values. (as is recorded in the citizen reps forum) One of our values is of me sharing the site and power with the people who contribute to AF, and not being an owner dictator.

3, Pay for the servers each month, regardless of donation level and my fanatical position, No bills paid, No AF.

Working to pay this takes me away from the site, please be patient with message responses.

4, Ensure Mine and therefore AF's Fanatical future. I appreciate all the help but every month, in the end its up to me to pay whatever donations we get, I need to be in a fanatical position in my career to be able to cover this every month for years to come as I have always done over the years so far.


5, ensure Af's future By recruiting members. I have brought many people to AF, and it also creates a lot of activity when people check it and don't join but watch.. This takes me away from the site too.

6, As Afs Creator and senior Admin I only I can physical make forums and other changes unless I allocated it out.

7 Only I can authorise deleting members accounts. There Staff can ban, zombify or anything but only I can authorise deleting accounts. This is because of the significance as the deleting an account can not be reversed and will loose the person and us 5 years posts and 5 years internet history.

8, To let the people who love and are AF run it and make the day to day decisions based on the earned position as citizens, reps, and in the staff/management teams, according to the defined mod hierarchy.


9. To let the peoples posting numbers guide AF forum and layout changes so that they are truly democratically reprehensive of us.


My power and how it is rarely used.
A number of my AF responsibilities take me away from the site and the day to day running. That's why I need and trust you all in what ever role or staff position you are in, to together run and manage AF other than the rare things that need to be approved by me.




How decisions are made on AF.

Easy answer - By the staff team hierarchy and citizen representatives.

I don't get involved in sanctions like banning, infractions, or promotions like the management chain unless there is a serious concern. Things are usualy decided by the Admin council/higher council and any forum leaders depending on rank applied for.. So no point sucking up to me or individual staff if you want promotion. That has to be fairly earned here. I may help you with advice or training, but I will rarely intervene in the decision process conducted by the higher senior staff.

Please note, if a single mod needs to take action because there is no one senior available soon, it is reviewed by their senior and the higher council to ensure consistency and fairness. This protects the staff and members from being picked on.

Most first decisions will therefore be made by a senior staff group. The staff member concerned reports their concern to seniors before action is taken . So no matter which staff member deals with the concern. they alone do not make any final decision's. This removes any possibility for favouritism, staff getting unfair hard reputations and being targeted, or unfavourable treatment due to not getting on with the staff member. or AF treating people differently.

This goes all the way up the chain to the higher or admin council.
