Default Re: Where do you get your clips

All of the above really. If I have the footage I need on DVD when making a new video I usually will use that. If I can't then I will usually look around YouTube and other video sites for the footage I need. If I can't find it there then I look on download sites like 4Shared. If I can't find what I need there I look for torrent files. If I can't find what I need there I usually will see if I have a friend who has footage I need or scrap the idea (rarely comes to that though). The hard part usually is since I'm a YouTube Pooper, when I poop anime videos (which is what I do about half the time), I absolutely NEED a dub since my Japanese isn't nearly good enough to sentence mix or something like that in it (I speak Japanese as well as a kindergartner at best, I presume the vast majority of my viewers aren't much better). There's still altered subtitle jokes but since most of my fans are anime fans I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few that do in fact speak Japanese fluently or close to that and that wouldn't work for them. And dubs are sometimes very difficult to come by if you don't have the DVD.

I use VideoPad as my editor usually, which really isn't picky about file types, and it even upconverts videos to HD and improves the quality when you run videos through it, so I'm good there.
