thats the issue right here. these brats are doing crap because they are taught right from wrong but clearly dont give a rats ass that what they were doing was wrong at the time they did it.

also id like more citation than a "you say they did" kinda thing
she might have been drunk but she might have been the school slut too.

I don't know if I can find much on it consiering I live in a place where national headlines aren't met often from my state.

I also don't know which specific girl it was since there were 3. All of them underage. Two sixteen one 14. He's nearly 19.

I'll try to find an online version, I read in our newspaper that he offered her a ride home to one of the three, and once she got in the car she was drugged and rendered unconscious. She didn't remember anything that happened. When she woke up, she was complaining that she felt pain in her lower regions, and later on he had sent her a video of him sodomizing her. So he dug his own grave, and was dumb enough to think someone wouldn't file charges againnst him.

This one's one online version.

The audio (at least one of a few) confession he made on one of the assaults ( do not watch if easily panicky upon the subject):

nearly 19 or actually 18 but close enuf to be 19? lol again citation.
in this kind of victim culture specifics are needed

also thats clearly a cherrypicked vid.
i guarentee he never bragged like "lol bruh i raped that chick"
no he probably said he banged her or somethin and got called him a rapist as a result

edit. yup cherry picked. showing pics of him holding guns n stuff. sigh while what happened to her is wrong and he seems like a douche. she shouldnt have gotten drunk
classic case of "she got drunk. let some hot guy bang her, felt bad/guilty/whatever, cried rape"

thats all im getting from the vid and your posts... im sure theres more to it than this tho

Regardless, he's charged of first-degree rape on two accounts.

Neither of these girls 'slept around' but even then they dont deserve it.

It shouldn't matter if he's 18.6 or 18.3, he's still a legal adult in my state. They were gonna charge him of possessing child pornography but they vaguely said it didn't meet the criteria. Whatever that meant.

It may be cherrypicked, but it's one of plenty. It's as muchb as I can publicly get.

Recently, a few girls at my school were raped by the same guy, and all I heard was "why did she get in the car with him alone to ride home!?" Or "she was drunk/high to incoherency, she should've seen it coming." All from dudes, and the minute someone asks if they were men, they get quiet before going off on something unrelated.
The inability to consent is NOT asking for it either. But such a thing is impossible to comprehend apparently.

Needless to say, he got himself locked up after three months of investigation.
Of course, he is at fault. But similarly, her getting drunk is not exactly the best idea, and it's something that I think should be taught in schools alongside sexual education. How to look after yourself. If you're going to be drinking, arrange things like transport before you do it. Get someone you know and trust to pick you up from a public place at a predetermined time.

It's quite sad that things like these continue happening, though.

It was definitely a party, from what I've read/heard. So there had to be multiple people who were partaking in drinking/smoking.

I won't question why nobody else had noticed anything off, but he had a rather positive reputation before all of this. Now everyone knows his name and he's pretty much ruined.

I don't know the guy personally, but man am I glad I don't.

We did have a protest about a week before the verdict on our front lawn. The whole block had people standing with signs and chanting up and down the street. It was peaceful despite how loud it was.

I think the first thing that people need to understand that this isn't really a "Men rules, women drools" type of world, at least in some countries. Western Countries such as United States and vice versa have more rights for women than ever compare to what they had by a mere 30 years ago and will continue to get closer to that. However, when talking about any other parts of the world? Yes, men do rule that part of society.

This is a problem that's is often overlook, especially the 3rd wave feminism that's pretty much disregard the idea of women rights to simply of "what's sensitive" and "what isn't".

I always seen this word pass around that America is a rape culture or whatever, when it's simply not. United States punished the heck out of the rapist, to the point that if you're accused of the crime, you will be crime and look down upon. Although, I see nothing wrong with responsibility when it comes to drinking and such. One should realize that drinking, in any form, should be taken precaution and always have a buddy with you.

Then, what if both were drunk and consent to it? What if they had relations and both of them accuse each other of rape? It's opens a whole new can of worms.

Funny thing about that. When they DO punish the rapist accordingly, and are sent to prison, certain prisons (not all) have kind of a moral group set in them.

There's a certain jail in my state (can't recall the name, but my Psych teacher has visited it before for one of his thesis studies) where upon asking any of the permitted inmates about how long rapists/child molesters last in their prison, the inmate responded "two weeks, if he wasn't severely wounded already." But that's generally because many inmated suffered sexual abuse and definitely weren't going to tolerate that sort of thing.

The US definitely has more women rights than plenty of other countries, since some of them can't really have a voice without being threatened their lives (but then again this is also a certain issue with other events going on as of now, a lesser degree in the US).

That definitely is a new can of worms, and generally relies on other witnesses (which would have to not be intoxicated either to provide a consistent witness count, which can even then be biased one person or the other). I don't think I've seen such a case before. It'd definitely be a harder-to-solve sort of case if neither party knew beforehand (unless they decide to be nasteh and tape the night, that could probably be a game-changer, but the degree would vary).

America itself isn't a rape culture, but different aspects of our society does impose some form of it. Victim blaming, ridicule, and the like.
