Default Is your college/university, good for clubs for social events and hobbies and interest

Is your college/university, good for clubs, for social events and hobbies and interests?

does it have good clubs and a wide range of choices?

does it cater for all sorts of hobbies and interests not just sport?

why do you like going to these sort of evening groups?

do you prefer it if they are held in the lunchtime?

uhm... my university is really good for hobbies that are linked to the specialization...

for example... mine specialization is mechanic enginering... so

they have baja (mini-bugs) that go for national competition... they build the baja from zero... to perform an endurance race...

they have 2 equips for aeromodelism... that builds remote little airplanes from zero... to perform a serial of task's in a national competition...

they have an equip for remote boats... in a competition similar to the airplanes...

they have a consultant junior company... that do consultant task's in the university and some other places...

club sports is not so important here in brazil...almost everyone that join these groups...do this just for hobby...

and social events... are the best... they do Huge events that almost all the universities that are close pay a visit XD

so... nothing to complain =P

My university has quite a few clubs that cater to many different interests, but there are still some clubs that I wish they had, like for fencing. Overall, though, I think they have a good variety ranging from intermural sports to fashion and design clubs. You can always start a club if you have an idea, as well.

This sounds so much fun. I also would have loved it if my school had done things like that. Also I think social events are equally important for young people to relax and enjoy themselves. It shouldnt be all work and no play.

As far as I know, my university has something for just about everyone ... I haven't run into someone whose said that they wished there was a club for something. We're really good at having something for everyone with a variety of meeting times. I wish I could get into intramural sports and some other clubs myself, but it's kinda hard when you're under the rules of a varsity athlete.

My college I'm currently going to doesn't have a lot of choices for sports which are: Basketball, cheerleading, Volleyball (girls only), baseball (guys only), and soccer (guys only).

While hobbies there aren't a lot either (but way more than sports anyway). I think this is because it's just a community college :/

compared to the rest of you, no, not really :s we've got the basic sports and horseriding, but as we're only one faculty on my campus there's not as much social events as on main campus. Though it is nice that we're surrounded by animals here (it's a vet campus) They were going to try to implement archery, I'm waiting for that.
