Yeah, sometimes it's confusing if the anime and the manga's have different stories.
Some animes existed because of the good manga response, bt they change most of the plots for the anime.
So sometimes I get confused when I try telling the story to my friends, i always mix the plots up... >.<

Did I miss something or is a certain girl never really given any background? I'm talking about Ryoko Asakura.

I love the movie, the anime wasn't bad by any stretch - just think they could have done more.

hmm, recently started watching this and I've now watched 7 episodes, but i've been watching it according to the order in which they were aired and i must confess to being a little confused as to the plot arc, is it worth going back and watching them in chronological order??

I did watch it twice and I don't think it will make to much of a difference - but it's up to you. Just as long as you get the basics you will love the movie which Imo was done really well. Still you need to know about Ryoko Asakura the most and I don't think she is explained very well.

Yeah the order is really confusing technically the Mikuru Movie/Episode 0 takes place right after season 2.

It was things like Itsuki being in one episode completely unexplained and then showing up for the first time in the next episode that threw me!! I finished the entire first season of the anime in a week...gotta be the fastest I've watched 14 episodes of anything since I first caught up with Bleach!

I've really loved it! The way it mixes so many styles together, the way that the story appeals to so many different aspects of the anime geek that is me,top notch show right here

Only watched this awhile ago. Well it's a pretty great series. I'd like to buy figures about it.

The first season was good, but the second technical re-telling season was just, quite simply, awful!
