Default Re: Paragraph RPG Rules

Paragraph rpg rules

Types of RPGs Threads:

Closed RPGing- Where only the players listed can RP in something.

Invite Only- a closed Rpg where you can only join if someone invites.

Open RPG- A RPG anyone can join.

Alright. Here are the rules:

1) NO God Moding or Powerplaying, that means you cannot control a character that is not yours, in any way. You cannot make them do something in your post. If you're intereacting with them, you need to await for them to approve of it in their post. People don't like it when it feels like there's no point in being there if you decide to play them for them.

This includes but is not limited to:

---Auto hitting [Stating an attack hits automatically without giving your opponent time to react and possibly find a logical way out of it.]

---Puppeteering [Making a person's actions FOR them, either in a fight or role-playing in general. This is a big pet peeve for many people.]

--Spotlighting [Taking control of a situation. . Everyone gets equal opportunities. No, you CAN'T make your character die all the time, get in fights to be injured for sympathy, etc.]

2) If people disappear on you for long periods of time and they haven't given you any returning date, find a logical way around them so you're not stuck/frozen. Keep the RP flowing.

3) NO BLOWING UP THE DAMN EARTH! If you absolutely MUST do so, ask admin permission. But really, there's no NEED to blow up the Earth. So... don't ask.

4) You may start a duet-roleplay - a roleplay with yourself and one other person - but you must announce that in the title, as I have done for the 'Dynamic Duo' thread. You may also start a trio-roleplay, quad-roleplay, etc. and cap a limit on how many characters can be within your roleplay.

1. Mirror Posting: Try to post a post as long as the one before you. If P1 posts a 4 paragraph post, P2 will need to try and post 4 paragraphs as well. And after that post P1 decides to shorten their post, P2 will still need to follow P1's lead. However, the only exception, is that if P1's post is longer than 4 posts, P2 will not need to mirror. P2 only needs to post a maximum of 4, unless they choose to post more. It may seem like a lot, but once you get into it, 4 paragraphs is not hard. Just remember, the minumim sentences in a paragraph is 3 sentences. And you should only need to start a new paragraph if you're changing the subject of the first paragraph. I hope this makes sense. xD

2. Thinking may be used in italics, if one so chooses, but it's not necessary. When speaking, one should use "". Always. Otherwise we can't tell what's part of the post and what's talking.

PRANKING
Which is a form of God-Modding even if you aren't moving the character around or directly playing as them. You should always ask the person(s) your pranking's permission before doing that. PM them.

TIME SKIPS
Time Skip effects everyone, and thus it should be a group decision before in acting a Time Skip.
This is where one or two characters will skip ahead of everyone else saying its later in the day. Which makes it hard for the others to keep up.
Be paitient. If you really want to skip ask everyone's permission using your Mun Bubbles -> ( ) at the TOP or BOTTEM of your post. Not in the middle of a paragraph.
only after EVERYONE who is actively playing agrees, can you Time Skip.
